Alchester Running Club, based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, was formed in 1999 with the intention of developing road, cross country and trail running in the area, and with the aim of encouraging the social as well as the competitive aspects of the sport. The name ‘Alchester’ comes from the old Roman town and fort which was situated just south-west of modern day Bicester, near the village of Wendlebury.

We cater for all ages and abilities and meet for our club nights every Tuesday at 6:50pm at Gavray drive, Langford Village, Bicester (and at Bicester Sports Association in Chesterton during the summer) and every Thursday at 6:50pm from Bicester & Ploughley Sports Centre. At the sports centre please meet at the rear by the bowling centre.

Go to the About page for more information and make sure you check the News page for the latest club updates.
