    Upcoming Social Events:

Jingle Bells Run, Thursday 18th December.

We will be starting and finishing at the Bure Farm Pub on Bure Park this year.
All the best light displays in town will be taken-in on the run, probably between 4-5 miles long.
After this we have a Chilli and rice/chips meal available in the pub for just £7 per head. (Veg chilli is available for those requiring an alternative to beef.)

The Jingle Bells run will replace the regular club night that week so don’t miss out on your last chance for pre-christmas ‘calorie credit’!

All are welcome and if you want to come along and run, but not eat then that is fine of course.
If you would like to book food then please let me know via email as soon as possible (we’ve currently a limit of 34 people) and by Sunday 14th Dec at the latest.

Get your Santa hats out, fancy dress on, or failing that just put some tinsel in your hair.

Hooky Christmas Canter, 21st December, Hook Norton.
We will be going for food and a drink after this fun race. For those that are interested to contact Andy so he knows how many to expect.  Venue TBC

February 8th Winter social Fat Fox inn Watlington.  Approx 10.30 start.
10k loop in a wooded area on the Ridgeway ending back at the pub for refreshments.  We will go out in small groups of similar abilities so nobody runs alone or gets lost.

Alchester Running Club, based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, was formed in 1999 with the intention of developing road, cross country and trail running in the area, and with the aim of developing the social as well as the competitive aspects of the sport. The name ‘Alchester’ comes from the old Roman town and fort which was situated just south-west of modern day Bicester, near the village of Wendlebury.

We cater for all ages and abilities and meet for our club nights every Tuesday at 6:50pm at Gavray drive, Langford Village, Bicester and every Thursday at 6:50pm from Bicester & Ploughley Sports Centre. At the sports centre please meet at the rear by the bowling centre.
