  • Well done to all that raced at Thame on Sunday, Nigel Marley finished in 4th place, Angela Banks won her age category and the ladies won the team event (Sarah Rendell, Angel Banks, Liz Grolimund and Julie Bennett).
  • Well done to Sarah Rendell who races the Milton Keynes 10k on Tuesday and was 2nd VL35 in a time of 41:10.

Tuesday Club Night

  • Bicester Sports Association (Akeman Street, Chesterton. OX26 1TH). Please arrive at 6.50pm for a prompt 7pm start. The sesion is open to all club members, and will be organised by our new coach, Chris Curtis. Please take this great opportunity to improve on your pace and stamina.
  • PLEASE NOTE Please could you park on the hardstanding adjacent to the rugby pitches, that is to the left once you pass through the main gate. The main part of the car park is for the cricket club who meet on the same evening.

Thursday Club Night

  • Bicester & Ploughley Sports Centre. Please arrive at 6.50pm for a prompt 7pm start. PLEASE ALLOW plenty of time to park owing to the restrictions at the Sports Centre. Note it is possible to park at BCC.

  • Coombe Motavation - Thursday 3rd July 7:30pm (NB No Thursday Club Night run from the Sports Centre)
  • Summer Handicap - Thursday 10th July 7:00pm - The Bull at Launton These are short courses (around 4 miles) and have a fun competitive element. All are welcome, including family, and a charge of £5 towards food and raffle. Further details from Gary Warland. Please book in advance so sufficient food can be ordered. You are welcome to attend on the evening, but please do not expect food to be provided for you. There will be NO club run from the sports centre on this evening.

Race Reminders

  • Next Club Championship Thame 10k - Sunday 29th June 9:30am - This is a popular event and fills up quickly, please get your entries in as soon as possible. This will be chip timed for the first time. The course has been changed for this year, so that the hill finish is removed.
  • Coombe Motavation - Thursday 3rd July 7:30pm (NB No Thursday Club Night run from the Sports Centre)

Beginner Sessions
  • RUNNING FOR NON-RUNNERS!! Alchester Running Club is growing rapidly and welcomes new members. If you'd like to try running at one of our occasional Beginners Sessons.

Alchester Running Club, based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, was formed in 1999 with the intention of developing road, cross country and trail running in the area, and with the aim of developing the social as well as the competitive aspects of the sport. The name 'Alchester' comes from the old Roman town and fort which was situated just south-west of modern day Bicester, near the village of Wendlebury. We cater for all ages and abilities and meet for our club nights every Tuesday at 6:50pm at Bicester Sports Association, Akeman Street, Chesterton.
